View Full Version : Where's Miller Mc Kenzie gone?
Not sure if this is the correct forum but, after waiting for them to come online Feb 15th their ad is gone and site didn't work yesterday. Any one know what's up?

Regarding the MillerMackenzie Banner Ad on B-dot-org.
Hey folks, if you send out invitations and few people show up for the party, you stop the invites, right?! Mackenzie can still be reached on the aforementioned website. Dropped in the other day. Everybody is busy planting for the spring yield. Yield here in So Fl begins very soon.
I just cooked the best carrots and asparagus I ever tasted. Long live the vermicomposters!!!

I think Miller's claim to the the trademark "Edible Landscaping" is rather weak, considering its public use for over two decades. For example, the estate of Robert Kourik could easily challenge it.

Hi Bob, they are still in business, its actually a big business they run.. they just decided to take their banner down from the site and not sponsor us anymore, for the time being, at least. Cant say why their site was down though, I say just try and try again, sometimes those sort of things happen to the best of us, lol!

I thought they were going to eventually list bananas for sale on their site, but never saw them. Maybe they're just doing well enough with their other things.

Harvey,
They have some bananas listed, although you need to contact them for the prices.

I went to the link that KJ posted for millermackenzie & all I saw to buy was jackpots. Where are the nanas?
BTW, has anyone tried these jackpots? What do you think? Thanks

They are o.k., but ... I've spent about a year on bananas.org telling folks you are paying too much for fertilizer. This year I'm going to also say the same thing about pots. Go into a store where they sell pots you like. Turn the pot over to learn who the manufacturer is. Now call the manufacturer (Dillon, ITML, etc.) and find out where the distributors (not retail) are near you. Now go buy the pot for $2 to $5.

Wow, really? That sounds like a plan. Sure am glad I read your post. I was about to order 4 jackpots in the 45 gal size. Thanks again Richard!

Me too Scot -- 2 or 3 45 gal pots. That's a good idea Richard - thanks! I thought the price was OK for that size. The biggest I've seen in stores are about 25 gal & they were very pricey but pretty. I don't care how they look..I might spray paint them anyway. I will check it out though.
Was also thinking of getting those big round things that hold 1/4 barrells - Walmart stuff. They even have handles on them.
Chong, where did you see bananas on the website??

Patty, I didn't notice them yesterday either but just clicked around until I found them at Miller MacKenzie (http://www.millermackenzie.com/banana.html).

Hey, I window shop all the time but it can eventually get dangerous for the wallet. Speaking from extensive experience! lol
