My Red Jamaican flower bud has decided to droop right on top of one of my Apple bunches. Should I just let them rest on each other or try to manipulate them some how for some clearance? I'm worried that when they both have fruit growing the fruits will knock each other off when the wind blows and the plants start moving about. Here are some pictures from the back showing the flag and from the front.

I would place a bike inner tube around the new flower stalk, anchor the other end with a rope to a fixed spot and slowly pull the new blossom away from the other one, perhaps 3 inches away each day until you have enough clearance. Bananas are quite flexible when you do it slowly.

Good suggestion, Joe.

I have also found them to be very happy to move if given gentle pressure over a period of time. I had a Praying Hands that was leaning about 30 degrees from vertical earlier this year. Over a period of weeks I was able to straighten it without a problem. Slow and steady is the way to go.
