Hello Bananafriends,

I am searching seeds of Musa Orinoco , if possible in Europe, otherwise in Us.
I dont want to have Musa Dwarf Orinoco (too small:bananananer: ). I am happy to get any information where to get the seeds.

Thank you very much,

As far as I know you have to get a pup or TC-plant.
I have one myself wich I ordered in England.

Orinoco is triploid and seedless, one ABB. So you cannot get seed from Oriinoco, only plants. The source for you is http://www.bananenshop.de (Achims Bananenshop)

Best wishes
Beste Grüße

Wait a few years and maybe somebody will figure it out, that it's missing and import it. Or you could order from Stokestropicals or goingbanana from USA.

Hi J Krajewski and welcome. Are you aware that the regular Orinoco is very tall? Mine has about 20ft of pseudostem and the leaves reach about 35 ft - whereas the dwarf version is about 6ft of stem and leaves to about 12ft. Makes harvesting the fruit a lot easier and they taste pretty much the same.

But imagine the joy of a grower, such as me or mister here, who comes from zone 8 and has it in the garden ;) Wonderful.

Yes Jack - I have to agree with you that they are wonderful to see. If you want to try the tall varieties - go for it and take a chance - life is too short to always play safe!!! Good luck!

Meistens findet er was schönes in seinem Gewächshaus ;) :0519:
