Dwarf Cavendish growth progress.

The only substantial source of light it receives is from a 125 watt florescent grow light, which seems to be sufficient.

The larger banana in the photos is actually the pup; the smaller banana in the photo is the mother which died back and has been stunted ever since.

Any advice on when to repot? I am leaning towards not repotting until they go in the ground for the summer--I guess I am just wondering if they would do better in a larger pot, or are the best just left alone?

Miaella, I would suggest leaving them as they are until you put them in the ground in spring. If for no other reason than to minimize transplanting shock. The other reason is that they don't appear too large, so you would be able to take them out and bring them in as you acclimatize them to being in the sun. This is necessary to help them adjust. It should be done for about 2-4 weeks before transplanting them into the ground.

The pot is too small. The height is not too bad, but 3 times the width would be great. If you do move them into a larger pot, I would not separate until you transplant into the ground -- unless you want to get two large pots and another 2 to 4 grow lights. How many lumens is your 125W lamp?

Repot ASAP, move them intoseparate pots and to have fruit, at least 80 Litres pot is needed !!!
