Thanks Scot, I will ask for a new picture of the plant before I buy it. Hopefully it was a one time problem for her.

I can verify this person is legite, I have purchased from her in the past & her plants are what she states them to be, packaged well & she knows her banana's esp. the AE Ae banan's she could hold a class on them. Buy with confidence, she is not cheapest place to buy plants but when you think about it does the place that sells the cheapest plants really have the best, healthiest plants of that species for sale? You pay a little more for quality stuff plants are no exception maybe even more so on a high end plant.

Marthas Plants Trees Bananas Bamboo is her business name & she will sell outside of Ebay if you contact her thru her web email & not thru Ebay. email me if you want her contact info, I will not post it here for spam purposes.

I believe that MGMG9495 is Martha, who is a member here. Another member, Sandy, finally convinced her to join, in spite of the fact that she is on the shy side.

Chong you are 100% correct Martha & Sandy deal with each other, I think I beat Sandy to one of Martha's AE Ae banana's last year.

Hi everyone and happy belated new year! I just popped in to say that I'm not sure who mskitty is referring to but I'm totally a SHE and not a HE, lol. Must be a mixup of sorts. But, my reputation is why I'm posting as I am the seller on Ebay that is referred to in this post.

Hi again Stumpy! BTW, what was a one time problem for me per Scott?

Scott, I cannot find a message where you said you had a problem with me requiring Stumpy to ask me for a 'new' photo. Have we met?

Special thanks to Bill and Chong!

Hi Martha,

I am not a customer of yours, but since Chong is happy with your plants then I might try you in the future.

However, I do have a comment about your fertilizers, which I have also made elsewhere on this site. In particular, your banana fertilizer 15-5-30 is currently listed for $3.95 per pound on your website. First of all, 15-5-30 is a great formula for Hawaii and similar nitrogen-rich environments, but it is not the optimal choice for the continental U.S. A better choice is 20-5-30. But more importantly, your fertilizer is over-priced. This formula is 15% Nitrogen, so it contains 1 lb x 15% = 0.15 lb of Nitrogen. Therefore, it is $3.95 / 0.15 lb = $26.33 per pound of Nitrogen! I am accustomed to retail prices of $5 to $10 per pound of Nitrogen. Finally, the quantity you are selling is (unintentionally) misleading gardeners about the application rate for fruiting bananas. After reaching 3 foot or so in height, a single fruiting banana plant in the ground can use 5 lbs of 15-5-30 or 20-5-30 per year. So a 1 lb bag seems like an inappropriate size.

I hope this helps!

Hi Richard. Everyone keeps confusing me with someone else. I don't have a website. I need one but I don't have one. I don't sell fertilizer. I only sell plants on Ebay and bonanzle.com. Martha

I must admit that I, too, get confused sometimes. There are several ladies on eBay whose ads I watch out for because they have plants that interest me. The reason that I double check before I place my bids is that one of them is somewhat arrogant. I only look at her ads to compare with other sources but I will not order from her. In fairness, I will not reveal her eBay name because I do not have any experience ordering from her, and I do not, in any, want to influence anyone, one way or the other.

I think that there are a couple of other members here that sell fertilizers on eBay, as well as, on our classifieds. I personally have not seen them (fertilizers) on Martha's store.

Global Warming! I love it! And if you have some to spare, could you send it our way here in Seattle?

I have not purchased from this seller, but I do have several of their items marked as watched items. There are several things that I would like to have that this sellers has in their store.
