Ah- the internet. There is a group for everyone. I'm glad your here and I'm happy to be here.
I will be heading into my second season of banana growing this Spring. As my user name suggests, I have quickly become obsessed with trying to grow bananas. I love the foliage and can't wait to get to the fruit. I've never had a homegrown banana, but I'm told I will never want another store banana again.
Over the next week I will be fully updating my profile and will add some photos.

Welcome , you've found the right place! I'm in the same position as you getting back in to bananas after many years and have quickly accumulated quite a few plants. Let's hope the upcoming growing season is good to us all.

welcome to are nutty Banana world Steve! have fun. There's tuns of info in the old threads' Searching them will provide a wealth of info. In the wiki you will find list of Bananas that you can read about. Most of the common types are there as well as exotics. However some pages aren't done as of yet but we are working on it! :bananas_b

Glad you took the time to sign on with us. Banana obsession is spoken fluently by most o the membership, so you should fit right in.
Welcome to banana-lovers anonymous - a 12 step program!
Here are the steps:
1. Join bananas.org
2. Buy/trade or inherit your first banana plant
3. Read the threads and look at the photos
4. Buy/trade for your second banana plant
5. Watch them grow and realize you need more banana plants
6. Buy/trade for another banana plant
7. Notice some other plants that members have
8. Buy or trade for some of those
9. See a new variety of banana that's more beautiful than yours
10. Buy one of those, plus an extra just in case
11. Realize you are a banana addict, accept it
12. Once admitted, buy more banana plants
