I'm liquidating banana plants, they are $5 per corm, minimum of 10.
Local pickup only!
Bring a truck or a car with a big trunk!
I have a lot of different types, some sell for up to $39 or so.
Typical pricing is here and this list will also give you an idea what I have:
RareBananas.com - Rare Types Of Live Banana Plants To Grow In Your Tropical Garden (http://www.rarebananas.com/bananas-c-1.html)
I will be out of town this weekend but next week or next weekend should be good. Send me a PM and I'll give you my #.
Please tell your friends and help me out, and post the link to this thread wherever you want. First come, first served! I also have some fruit trees so come on down!
:parachutenanner:
This new house my wife and I moved into is tick-infested so we cannot stay here.
:nanertank::2710:
And with our upcoming baby on the way, we would rather "pass the flag" so to speak and see these go to good homes. If we ever wish to re-obtain one or two, I would hope you would accommodate if you have pups!
:goteam:
I'll write everyone after the weekend, as I'm trying to be away from the computer!
Thank you!

Sorry to hear that Jarred. Sounds like you are going to have to have it fumigated. How awful for the new little one coming. I imagine that the realtor is in big trouble for non-disclosure.
Would anyone living close to Jarred be willing to pick-up some of these and ship them to me? I will pay you an extra $2.50/corm just for doing so, in addition to the cost of the corms and shipping costs.
Please send a PM to me if you can help out.
Thanks!!!

Yea Scott there will be a lawsuit. My wife is 6 months pregnant and moving now is the last thing we wanted to do. I wont fumigate while we live here because I don't want to risk the health of the unborn baby from the insecticide.

Some info, as people are asking:
The plants are in the ground but I will dig them with you.
They are all short because they were only planted about 4 months ago.
They were topped off when they were planted. That's why they are small.
The Sabas are the largest at only maybe 3' or 4'.
You don't really need a truck, we can fit them in a car, no problem.
And you guys can pay me later if you have PayPal, that's not a problem either.
I'm in Stuart, exit 101 off I-95.

Jarred, I really hate to hear that you are going to have to move again. My wife and I have been married almost 13 years now (it'll be 13 the end of this month) and we have moved 3 times since we've been married and it is no fun at all. Especially when you have a lot of plants! Well, good luck on finding a new pad. I feel for you, bro.

a Min of $10, or 10 corms?
MediaHound
12-20-2008, 07:11 PM
10 corms please! They need good homes.
You'll also get free plumeria cuttings and potted palms... mainly 1' foxtails planted as singles, doubles, and triples etc.
PS what is listed inventory-wise on RareBananas is not up to date!
If anyone wants to verify if I have something special please send me a message.
Thanks again for the response. And btw my trip this weekend got canceled so here I am in front of the computer, lol!
Hey Jarred, sorry for your troubles. Wish I was closer so I could lend a hand...Bob

I'm very sorry to hear about your situation. I'm a pack rat, so moving is very stressful for me. So, I know how you feel. Even worse for you, to be suckered into a bum deal for a house! I hope you find a better place, or at least get the Seller to set it straight.

Thanks guys. It was a real bummer, this house is beautiful... on the St. Lucie river and about 2 acres.... but the house is a lemon so to speak so off we go.

BTW a free Bananas.org embroidered T-shirt is included with each pack!

So sorry to hear about your situation. I wish I am near you cos there's a bunch of stuff I can't get here and they are so cheap. Anyway, even I am single and a bit of a nomad, I HATE moving, so I do understand your situation with your wife expecting. Take it easy (even though it may not be) and all the best.

... on the St. Lucie river and about 2 acres....
Damn. Double bummer.
I wish I could find an affordable situation like that in Palm Beach County. There's just not enough work in my career field for me to move up that way where I imagine it's a lot easier to find an acre +.

Wow. I might be able to help out with some of those. I'm in central (inland) FL, but planned to make a trip to Vero to go to McKey gardens within the next 2 weeks. (Date depending on holiday guest's schedules.) It looks like you would only be another 35 miles south. Let me check with my "social director."

Good evening MediaHound,
What kind of Bananas do you have. I'm less than three hours away. I feel for you in that situation.

I sure appreciate it. Wormfarmer took care of it already though. Thanks for the offer!

Sorry to hear of your troubles, Jarred. I hadn't read this thread until now since I saw it was for local plant sales. I can understand your concerns; I pulled my 7 acre pear orchard shortly after our son was born because of concerns over pesticides around our home. The economics of growing them organically just did not pencil out.
Best wishes,
Harvey

I did that to my daughter, OMG it was so frightening. But she is fine and very smart. Glad she doesn't remember it.

Am a newby to this group, In Memphis. Delighted to see other Tenn, Ark. and
Ala. people!!! Basjoos are coming back here. I've not had enuf nerve yet to put out
a lasiocarpa and leave all winter. Although know man in Helena, Ark. who does
that, successfully. Velutina does not survive overwinter in the ground for me.

So did you manage to get another house yet? Thats a shame you had to leave 2 acres on the water. But, on the bright side, at least you dont have to worry bout gators as much now! :lurk:
