I've been surfing the web trying to find info to share with the teacher of local school regarding care for her potted Dwarf Cav. I sent her link to these pages..
It will make looking for info a little easier for us zone & yard space challenged growers!!
Again THANKS!!! :banana-computer:

New Forum Suggestions - Bananas.org (http://www.bananas.org/showthread.php?p=19714#post19714)
I was thinking that a subforum on soil and soil additives (teas /composts / manures) would be a great idea because "newbies " always have questions to its regards and the learned tend to discuss performance .
a dwarf plant section should be interesting to folks in crappy zones who plan to overwinter bananas indoors or under the house . This could also have great appeal to those with limited space .
On the same note ,more or less, container growing and indoor growing are gaining popularity and allowing many to enjoy the hobby year round regardless of location .

Thanks Fernie, I guess now would be a good time to revisit that thread.
Back then, the forum was not bursting at the seams enough to warrant those forums as I posted in that thread, post 17:
http://www.bananas.org/f5/new-forum-suggestions-2677.html#post22797
I said we would give it more time before adding those as I didn't want the activity volume to be so low and people think its just crickets chirping in there.
Pete did suggest it first, you are correct!
One of Pete's other suggestions was the soil and additives forum, and I think adding it would be a good idea now as well though.

I'm soo glad Gina suggested the forum, otherwise , we may have forgotten it alltogether. She and I were even discussing container info in the chat and I didn't think about the forum. So, without her, we may never have gotten it going. Thanks Gina! :goteam:
I can't wait to see it grow, like Gina said,"there's not enough information out there about potted bananas".
And , thanks Fernie :goteam: , now we have a soil forum ! This should prove to be educational to us all. I thought I knew everything there was about soil and learned some wild new (actually old as Earth itself) things while researching a product last month.

I really like the new forums, especially the soil & fertilization and potted banana ones.

That is a very good thing that the new forums have been started regarding the banana grow and they seems to be quite informative in its own way. That will be very nice to have new discussion.
