YEAY Mom & Dad!
Get ready to be used to pee, poop, puke etc, & lots of love in between!
Take lots of pics!!!! Of course, we all want to see baby.
In a interview, Brad Pitt said (of all his children) he has become "impervious" to those things LOL :)
Babies are born every day but it seems like a miracle every time!

Know something? I think the kid's first word will be, "....'Naner'.....". Howzat???:ha::ha::ha::ha::ha:
The first step of the walk, first word, beats all the middle of the night milk time and diaper change. It's worth it Jarred! :birthdaynana:

Is the kid going to have a banana related name?

You mean "Ae Ae" isn't a good choice, lol!

Seriously Jarred, maybe a middle name like Helen or Misi for a girl, or Saba or Rhino for a boy?
Oh and Congrats! I'm sure the child will have a green thumb!

You could call him 'Little Prince' if it's a boy or maybe 'Truly Tiny' as a nickname if it's a girl. Either way, congratualtions on the impending arrival of your new baby!

Haha! I thought about a banana related name but didn't post. How about nino, ornata, rose, velutina - but I draw the line at lavender beauty!! But joking apart - congrats again!!
Since we're all picking names..............:drum:......"big mike" (gros michel) for a boy.:birthdaynana:

Sleep all you can now. Even though my wife breastfed our son, I started doing the breast milk bottles in the middle of the night after around 2 months. In addition, we found out that the only way to get him to go back to sleep was to drive him around in the car. That's how I discovered bakeries with fresh pastry at 5 AM!

The vacuum cleaner works a treat too - the carpet outside our son's bedroom had never been so clean!!

Three things stick out in my mind from the first year with our son Michael (now age 10). I was mostly in a daze so didn't retain much!
1. I learned I shouldn't under-estimate how much a baby can wiggle While I was changing a diaper once he fell off the changing table. I couldn't believe I dropped the baby!!! Panic set in, but he was perfectly fine and my wife quickly forgave me.
2. After a few months when my wife went back to work we would take turns getting up during the night to feed Michael. At about six months he slept through the entire night but it took us 2-3 days to realize it since we couldn't remember if we had got up. We had to compare memories and finally realized our dreams had come true!
3. Explosive poop!!! I had a terrible time at home alone with Michael and I'd love to get it out of my mind, but it's probably etched there for the rest of my life. Michael had an ear infection and was prescribed amoxicillin (antibiotic). This can lead to diarrhea in a serious way and I'll offer you some advice that may be very valuable. While this suggestion was never offered by any pharmacist or printed literature, I found advice online that food and liquids be withheld for one hour before giving the medicine. This eliminated the problem completely. I find it incredible that this information is not given with the medication.
Best wishes, Jarred. It's a wonderful gift to be looking forward to.

Well its really nice to be sharing this wonderful time for my wife and I with you all.
Thanks for the laughs, tips and tricks, and chance to reflect with some of your own often humorous experiences.
Harvey, I wish you could have heard my wife laugh while I read that to her. She's still laughing actually. She'll be more careful while changing diapers now, heh.
We thank you all very much for all the well wishes.

First you'll want them to walk and talk.
THEN you tell them to shut up and sit down.
My best advice; relax, enjoy every moment, good and bad.

Learn this song now, or not, either way you'll know it by heart in 8-10 years!

My kids are the best part of my life. And fuuunny!!! These girls crack me up everyday.
Once , while still small, my youngest brought me her plate of pizza crust. I asked "did you eat all of your pie?" and she replied: "Yeah ,Daddy, there's nothin' left but bones".:ha::ha::ha:
