I have a bunch of traveler's palm seeds. Does anyone have any tips on how to germinate them? I hear that they are pretty hard to start. Do I have to scarify them?
Thanks
Dave

I just soaked mine in warm water for about a week on top of my bunn coffeemaker and then planted them in seedstarter mix. I had 3/5 come up and they were easy to grow after that except they don't like to really go below 60 degrees even when they are getting older.

I have some of these seeds as well. Are you supposed to take off the blue furry stuff off the seed before planting? I read that in some types of seeds that the furrry stuff on them are sometime germination inhibitors but not sure about the Traveler's Palm?

A few are already starting to sprout! I did remove all of the blue stuff and soaked them first. I will post a few pics after I get my camera working.
