I've had this one about a month, but I've not had time to post.

Nice plant.Has it grown at all? I got one about a month ago too. It's about 2' tall and the 3 partial leaves it arrived with all promptly browned (at the white at first) and are pretty much dried up. There is a new leaf coming up ....very slowly, and that is starting to brown on the white as well. Since it was new I have it under a 400 watt halide about 4' from the light(which is on a 6' mover). Temperature can vary from 60- 80 , night and day. Do you think I should move it to an area with less bright light? All the other bananas and tropicals in this spot are growing fairly fast so, I'm at a loss on this one.

I've had this one in the greenhouse and it lost two leaves that it arrived with but grew two new ones so far. I'd say yours is still adjusting. Don't overwater it from what I've heard, but keep the humidity up around it in the atmosphere. Mine's about 2 feet tall too. I did put it into partial shade while it was rooting in. Did you put yours right under the light as soon as you potted it? Maybe it was a little too much light. You could back it away a little bit and see if that helps. My basement MH is 1000 watts and I can fry things with it sometimes.
Did you get yours from Martha in SC? That's where mine came from. Fertilize sparingly when you do, she told me that will cause them to brown up on the edges too. She told me to fert. about 1/2 of what you'd give a regular banana and not to overwater. It made sense to me because that's what happens to Namwa Pearl too when you fertilize it, and it has a lot of white too.
