Fernie, just go ahead and ship it like normal--box it up and take it to USPS. They will have a short form there for you to fill out and off it goes. There should be no problems.

Yes, and I found the flat-rate priority mail boxes have the cheapest rate to Canada from my location. Check USPS - The United States Postal Service (U.S. Postal Service) (http://www.usps.gov) for rate information.

Indeed...never use ups.....they are the plant police. Definately use USPS.When you ship to canada its best to be vague as to the boxes contents. If you claim it as a plant sometimes(most times) they wont let it thru.

Only problems I can think of is the current freezing temperatures in Canada...

I typically say it is a birthday present when they make me fill out a form. I mean, everyone does have a birthday, and plants are like presents.

I wanted to do a swap w/ Canada but the girl said NO - not to ship any plants there nor her to here. She said if it goes thru my P.O., Canada police would destroy it. Maybe she was too parranoid. I was still willing to try...not telling them it's a plant. How would Canada know?

Thats pretty much it. They may question the extremely low value of the package ,but away it goes. They usually take around 9 days from most places in the US to Canada. Good luck...

You can also request your mailman stop and pick up your package...That's what I do with my business orders...It's really easy to do everything from your computer.

Just my 2cents worth :)
