I tried to find info on this before posting but I couldn't so I will start a new thread. My basjoos all pretty much have areas on the leaves that are faded to a white/green. It almost looks like reflection of light off the glossy surface but it indeed has some white areas mixed with the dark green. I was thinking neutrient deficiency. I do have a lot of pups in a small area, and I have cut back the fertilizer as the season is ending. Come to think of it my sikkis are doing the same thing. Any thoughts?

Hi, I'm in NJ and have noticed the same with mine. I believe here the reason is less sun and erratic weather conditions. Days are getting shorter and nights cooler. I don't know what zone you are in but, feel here the reason is changing weather conditions.

It seems like there has been a recent fluctuation of people with leaf "blemish," problems, and changing weather is the first thing I suspected.
