So far, I have found two variegated sports in our TC lab, one 'Ladyfinger' found last semester ('Sucrier') and one 'Apple' (Hawaiian Apple, aka 'Brazilian') found a couple weeks ago. The Ladyfinger made a few variegated leaves but seems to have mostly lost it, though its making some interesting leaves. I thought the Brazilian was reverting, and it still may be, while the base of the newest leaf is still showing variegation, the rest is green.

Any clues as to how or why the variegation occurred in these 2 sports? I presume that the rest of the plantlets were not variegated? On another note, I was wondering whether anyone has ever grown out an all-green AeAe just to see what it looks like? Might not be so bad....perhaps it could eventually put out a variegated pup???
