Okay, this member sent me a youtube video of his yard tonight, feeling bad because of all the rains the tropical storms he's had, keeping him from pulling weeds in his yard.

See if you can guess who the member is by the checking out his collection (yes, the member is a male).

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/byPeGVNJbe0&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/byPeGVNJbe0&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Maybe we can drop by his place and help with the weeds! lol

If only I had a big pick-up truck, I can volunteer to help pull out some of those tall weeds with long wide leaves, some of which are shredded, with funny looking fruits and flowers. But all I have is a lowly VW Rabbit Diesel Pick-up. Sheeshhhh!

What a great walk and I didn't have to leave my chair! It was wonderful.. I want to live there in that yard.

Scot, read posts #5 and #6. It's Pete's place.

Sam, I have some weeds as tall as yours, it sounds, but in my melon patch.

Thanks you guys.
I pulled so many pounds of burmuda grass from my beds that I nearly gave up on it. After the rains, the weeds won the battle and I'll just leave them till I can get a more robust mulch. The stuff I have is animal bedding from the equine center and it's 10" or more deep in some places. The problem is that it's full off animal waste and stays very dry....perfect for Bermuda.
You can see some of the little Ensete seedlings and plantlets in the grass. I'm going to leave them out (far too many to pot) to see just how big they MUST be to survive the winter here(they range from 8 inches to 3 feet now). There are Ensete every 3'-4' so if they survive there will be no sunlight for weeds next year.
There are a lot of bare spots now from Gustav and my sharing. I'll fill those with Dwarfs and Ensete next year.
