I was wondering if it was to late to seperate a pup today. The daytime temp is 80 and lows of 55. I think it is either a Goldfinger or a Ice Cream, leaning more toward Ice Cream. The pup is about 2 feet tall and will go into a pot for overwintering, but I was wanting to seperate it early enough for it to recover before putting it in the storage room. I'm going to try to leave the mother in the ground surrounded by hay bales with leaves inside and a tarp over it. Any ideas?

I just separate mine yesterday and I am thinking to separate more. The sooner the better. But if you are thinking to winterize them indoors, I can't see why we can not separate them later in the month.

They will be in a storage room under our porch. Thanks for the advice I'll pot them soon so they'll get some new roots for winter, then they can go dormant.
