I took these pics in my back yard this past week. So far I've got five Orinoco blooms, and I currently have a whole lot of bananas hanging! I expect about three or four more blooms before the cold weather gets here...

Anyone interested in trading a good sized Ice Cream/Blue Java corm for one of my larger Orinoco corms?

Hi Bama Banana,

I met you again here in this forum. In any case it was great that you fruited
Orinoco bananas outdoors in the ground in such the cooler area as zone 8a/8b.
It gave a clue to such the peoples who seek to harvest bananas in a marginal
area.

Very nice! I had 2 blooms earlier this year from mine, but unfortunately they burst through the pseudostem to do so and have since perished. The actual plants only had a leaf each, and were in bad shape anyway after a huge Red Maple fell on them. Looks like this will be the first year in very many years that I won't have bananas to eat around Thanksgiving. Congrats on all of yours!
