the pedant in me finds this quite funny

The house is for sale for $AUD1,100,000.00 and the realtor will get anything up to $100,000.00 as a fee. The fees are negotiable and range from 2%-10%. I can't believe that for this mmuch money they couldn't get a sign drawn up with Beachs' instead of the plural Beaches.

If you are interested in buying a couple of hundred metres from the beach on about 1000 square metres of land in beautiful Australia - it has its own 3 bed house and a fresh water bore (we all have town water, the fresh water bore is to avoid water restrictions).... PM me or email me and I'll send the owners phone number...

Wouldn't beachs' be incorrect as well? In this example, the -s' would indicate plural possessive. Beaches would be correct. That is, unless Dicky Beach is the owner of the property, or Dicky Beach is a town or city. In that case, Dicky Beach's is correct as it is a singular city. Guess I am not only pedantic, but grammatically anal, too. It's a curse! Definitely not trying to offend anyone, simply chiming in on the blog.

It's been a long time since English grammar was taught properly in schools in Australia....

Dicky Beach is the suburb...
