Today was a nice day in the 70s in the Sacramento area due to a strong ocean onflow. So I thought I would take a little walk in the neighborhood to see what other people are doing. Sorry for the quality, taken with an iphone to keep suspicion down lol. Around here, it appears a good percentage of people are growing bananas but usually only visible from the backyard like mine :) Hopefully I will inspire others to do the same and post pictures around their neighborhood.

Some of my goldfinger/dwarf cavendish.

Noticed two of my ice creams had worms on them today... really upsetting.

And now, around the neighborhood.

Again sorry for the quality, and I will take walks on a different road next time, so stay tuned! :)

70's, you must be loving it after the intense heat last week. I lived in Davis for 10 years. I have many clients in Sac and visit several times a year. If you are interested, I could bring plants up from Santa Barbara. We seem to have an abundance of varieties and sizes. Last weekend I saw Siam Ruby in one gallons at a local nursery.

I miss the great vegetable crops but not the weather. We don't have air conditioning here in Santa Barbara. 68 to 75 all year round. In the 80's is a heat wave. Being on the coast keeps it temperate. I will let you know when I am traveling back up.
