When are you going on vacation Richard and for how long? (innocent question - oh yes!) Perhaps you need someone to stop by your yard and do some watering or pick up dead leaves etc? Mskitty, Kylie, Cookiecows - now is our chance!!

Mskitty - that itinery (sp) sounds fine and it is about 3 hours from Puerto Plata to Miami (and then 2 hours through immigration!!) Sounding a bit like Thelma and Louise with nanas! haha! Be afraid, be very afraid Richard as the girls are getting it together! Of course he won't go on holiday now or else will have armed security on duty, but if you show some leg and I flutter my eyelashes we will get through his defences!

Yes, that's the basic idea: you head out Interstate 10 west until central Arizona, then switch to Interstate 8. According to MapQuest:
Miami FL to San Diego, CA 92129-2128
Total Estimated Time: 39.0 hours 6 minutes
Total Estimated Distance: 2670.06 miles
I guess I shouldn't have let on that I'll be out of town during the Festival of Fruit 2008 (http://www.festivaloffruit.org/). Aww shucks, I guess you could stay on Interstate 10 and meet me there!
