Yesterday I had the chance to visit A&B in Bonita Springs, FL. It is a fairly small operation, but with lots of cultivars of elephant ear and banana, and quite a few adult plants that were worth looking at to help w/ identification. I ended up buying 7 bananas and 2 elephant ears.
Have you been frustrated buying tissue cultures... and waiting forever to get decent plants from the little pluggers? What Andy and Brenda seem to be doing is buying the TCs, growing them out for 6 months or a year, and passing them along via their website. I am quite happy w/ the 18" 'naners I bought: Praying Hands, Tuu Ghia, Raja Puri, African Rhino Horn, Rose, FHIA-3 Sweetheart, and Ice Cream. The ears were the Borneo Giant and Nancy's Revenge.
Anyway, I haven'y tested their shipping, but the plants look good and I hope to deal w/ them again.

Hi Paulodin,I have never been disappointed with A&B.They always send large healthy plants.Several of these bananas and elephant ears came from A&B.

Great picture! I wish my yard looked like that. You barely need a mower.
