Hi everyone,

I would like to know if now would be a good time to separate my four pups and grown on in a pot. The new leaves are nicely mottled. Please see photos of main plant and pups.

The main plant is two years old and about 10 feet tall planted in the ground and overwintered in same spot. The tallest pup is about 18 inches high.

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

The largest pup is ready to separate. You might get away with being able to separate the smaller ones also, but I'd let them grow to the size of the largest one before separating them.

They look very nice and healthy! You've had much better luck with your 'Red Tiger' than I have.

Thanks bigdog. Yes, I am very pleased with these puppies. Lots of chicken manure and tomato feed!

I will separate the big pup and leave the others as you suggest, I want to keep as many as possible for winter backup.

Thanks again bigdog.

Regards.

Carpy, Nice pup's. I agree with my fellow Dog but would suggest reading the thread on water suckers if you are not familiar w/the difference. Look to be all swords, judging by their location, but just an FYI for future reference. Hope this helps.-Nate
