I installed a new tropical bed tonight (in a tropical downpour lol). I had to do it tonight because my plants came in the mail today, and I was NOT going to let them sit out another night.

I planted one Washingtonia Robusta, one Butia Capitata, and two musa basjoo. Pics..

I've officially lost it. My wife thinks so too.

Currently planted: ten Musa Basjoos, two super dwarf cavendishes, two Washingtonia Robustas, one Butia Capitata, and one Cycas Revoluta.

SDC's are coming inside this winter, the rest is going to try to be protected.

Beautiful! You both are sure going to be happy 'you lost it' when everything is tall and lush and you're sitting in the tropics!

The train conductor's going to love it too. LOL

I suppose a geenhouse wouldn't prevent the ground from freezing, I know in NJ it would freeze rock solid to 6-8". Maybe you could use burlap next time, that would allow the roots to spread while making it much easier for you to remove them from the ground in the Fall?

Still an awesome venture so far north, congratulations on your oasis!!!
And best of luck, get us some more pics soon!:nanadrink:

Looks really nice, but I'm afraid that you'll have to be giving your basjoos a little wider area to grow soon!
