Extremely pleased to bring two new forums to light today.
The first was suggested by Richard (http://www.bananas.org/member-richard.html), and it is:

Other Recipes (http://www.bananas.org/f259/)
This forum is for recipes for foods we make from our gardens, from plants aside from bananas. Preserves, pies, quiches, cakes, dried fruits, wines, beers, and other recipes from foods made from bounty from your garden belong in this forum. Share your most prized secret recipes for others to enjoy!

The second new forum for today I realized there was a dire need here for some time, but hesitated to create it till there were enough threads and interest from the members to produce it. Without further ado, let us rejoice in this watershed moment:

Tissue Culturing Banana Plants (http://www.bananas.org/f260/)
This forum is for discussing tissue culturing of banana plants. Tissue culturing is the process of creating clones from a source plant.

These two new forums should be a lot of fun and really make it easy to find the information you're searching for.
I need your help. If you ever see threads that would be better suited in a more appropriate parent forum, please inform myself or a moderator and we will move the thread accordingly. I did a search for "tissue" and moved some threads that I could easily identify as being of the tissue culture category into this new forum. But if I missed any threads that would belong in this new forum, please please let me know and I will move it. This way we stay organized accordingly and future generations may more easily find the information they're searching for.

Thanks Jarred, I think it's awsome that we've added these forums! I think there definately was a need for the TC forum lately and it'll be cool to also get to share other recipies (other than bananas) with others!

I thought the one for TC was new! I was looking at it thinking, "Has that always been there?" Then I saw your post announcing two new posts. Sweet!

How about one strictly for Banana Cultural Requirements where we could put things such as water, light, fertilizer requirements? The recent thread I posted with all of the Pest, Disease, and Nutrient Deficiencies could go there too. It would be one easy place for everyone to go when looking for growing requirements or pest and disease problems on their bananas.

Hmm interesting, will give that a thought. I think it might be confusing to take this out of the Main Banana Discussion. Let's ponder it a bit and determine whats best.

No problem, Jarred. If you think it's better off left in the Main Discussion that's cool. Whatever you think is best!
