Hi, Everyone -

I just joined the forum after stalking posts for a while.
I am not strictly a banana enthusiast per se but I love everything that grows.

One of the first plants I bought in back in college was some kind of dwarf banana and I've had it all these years. I've recently been on the hunt for a AE AE but after reading some posts on here I think I'll be better off with some other type of variegated banana.

I am still a renter and I can't put anything in the ground so it would join my OG plant as an indoor plant.

Can anyone help me find one of the dwarf variegated varieties?

Thank you so much! I look forward to contributing what I can to the forum.

Great post.... do an internet search for the plant you want..
Certain sellers will do a ghost post like yours to drive business to their web site.
While you are ther bidding on a plant they will have ringer that will drive the bid up.........does this sound familiar to other forum members whom have posted lately.......:08: yep this is how it works.........keith:lurk:

With a name like hooligan.....your not really real are you?

When did the internet get so jaded? haha

I was actually hoping a member would say "Hey, I just dug up a pup I can sell ya".

I kept reading in other posts,
"The best place to find something is from one of our members"

I've have found some for sale through searching online but thought I'd ask here too JIC.

I'm sorry you don't like the smell of my IP address, not much I can do about that. I purposefully use a VPN so anyone sniffing around won't find anything that smells good to them ;)

And even though it was a little hostile, thanks for the reply anyways! Cheers :nanadrink:

LOl .... thx for they reply... do check out eBay there are some plants there occasionally
But sellers are sometimes sketchy with the bidding :bananas_b
A few forum members have gotten stock from a seller in Thailand and have had great luck with plants.

Go through some of the older posts and contact the members they might have some for market.
The plants are there.
Occasionally Craigslist south Florida will have plants available but the plants go very quick.

Good luck!:nanadrink:

Thank you!

I'll keep looking online but if any members find themselves with an extra pup feel free to let me know.

It's funny you mentioned that, because I noticed several times when I was trying for variegated banana plants on e-bay, if the bid stayed low by the last day there'd almost always be a bidder with very few feedback(single digits) that seemed to magicklly appear and drive the bid way up hours before the actual bid war, yet remaining just shy of going over your max bid. That pattern did give me pause....:lurk:
