Default UV-C and bananas

Hello banana friends! I missed you!

My bananas are doing great. Me too. With all of the lockdown, I had lots of lovely gardening time. A friend said my gardens look like Central America. Thank you!

Today I discovered--to my joy--that I can use bananas to monitor my germicidal UV-C lamps I used to sanitize our gym!
Here's the video from a hilarious guy who should be an honorary banana-ist:

In brief, the skin of a green banana turns brown upon brief (10 minute) exposure to UV-C light (but not other wavelengths.) (Does anyone know why? I seek info.)

Anyway, thus, I am now going to write off all banana-culture expenses as part of my commercial cleaning expenses. omg, it's a miracle.
