Hi there,

I’m new to the banana plant world and I’ve had my banana plant (who I have named stewart😂) for about a month and a half. I repotted him today to a larger pot and his new leaf that was growing snapped off. The leaf broke in a clean snap and no other areas were damaged. Will the plant continue to grow as usual and just have a half leaf or do I need to do something special now that this has happened. I’m very sad about this, any input would be appreciated!

Stewart will be fine. The plant will most likely stop growing for several days, possibly a week because of transplant shock. The half leaf only has a chance of helping the plant get over the shock. Always remenber, but don't let it keep you up at night :ha: : don't overwater! Just feel the soil, it you are questioning if the plant is too dry. Or you could use a moisture meter thingie lol

Don't worry. These things grow so fast, you will soon forget about that broken leaf ;) :ha:
