Hello!
I have been a long time stalker of bananas.org and finally made an account.
I currently have 2, 1 month old bananas from Wellspring: dwarf nam wah and a so called “ice cream blue java” (pics of both are in my gallery). I bought them before digging deep through this website and now realize that the bananas I’m growing may not be the species I paid for. Time will tell.
They are both currently in 2 gal pots and I hope to transplant them into the backyard by June when they are tall enough to not be eaten or trampled on by anything coming out of the forest.
I am interested in adding a 3rd banana to my collection, but am not sure which species. I’d also like to eventually grow a True Blue Java if my “ice cream blue java” from Wellsprings ends up being a tall namwah.
Thanks!

Thanks! I'll keep an eye out in the forums.
As for local nurseries, I only know of going bananas down in south florida. I'll keep hunting though.

Welcome! Im somewhat new to bananas as well.. in addition, I have 10 "blue java" also from wellspring.. Seems they are likely dwarf namwah.. disappointing in terms of cost... but at least they are supposed to be a tasty banana. I have several pictures in my gallery as well. Best of luck!
EDIT: I will say, your plants look very different than mine. Yours appear to be variegated, and mine have lots of red on the Pstem, with solid green leaves, and a red midrib. It appears wellspring may be selling mysteries and not bananas! lol
