Just had to share. I'm in Mesa, AZ; I have five varieties. This is Pisang Mysore. Hoping to get blooms on my Ice Cream bananas this summer also.
Besides that I have Goldfinger, Mona Lisa, Pisang Raja and dwarf Cavendish. But you'll just have to forgive me for being so silly...I'm expecting! :woohoonaner:

Thanks for the comments. Hope I can do everything right to see this through to a healthy, harvested bunch. This forum has been immensely helpful in the past year and a half, as I researched, planted and had some issues. Also, our local tropical nursery here in Mesa, Tropica Mango Nursery...where I purchased my plants.

Jackie, hope all goes well for yours here in Mesa. Summers are a challenge but mine did better this past summer than the one before.

Thanks! Been growing for a few years now. Nam wah, Mysore, Orinoco and Puerto Rican plantain have all fruited for me so far. I'm also growing Matoke, sweetheart, Mona Lisa (and a handful of tissue cultures and ornamentals). Shoot me a note if you ever want to trade some pups!

Looking good, quite a few people here in the Phoenix metro area it seems. I am in Tempe.
Hopefully I can get a bloom from my ice cream or Orinoco this summer. Currently testing 12 varieties in the yard.
