Hello all, btw thanks for all the welcomes.
I have a dwarf namwah plant abt. 4'. It has a sword sucker...should I remove this (its abt 8") before plant flowers or just leave it alone and let it do its thing? Thank you banana experts in advance.

Just leave it alone. If the mother pstem blooms then the new pup is the next year's stem to bloom. ... On my nanas I don't remove any of the pups except when I'm giving one away. The pups don't take away that much of the fertilizer. But I also apply fertilizer to account for all 2nd year plants.

One pup? Leave it. Pups also provide additional anchoring for plants with fruit hanging on them.
