Great pictures cagary. Where are you located -zone-. I would love an AeAe, Beautiful plants, but alas, I am zonally and experientially challenged, would hate to kill one. :bananas_b , yours seem to be very happy in their environment, congrats :bananas_b

Thanks everyone for your kind posts.

The pups will be going on ebay to see what the market will bear.

The problem with Ae Ae banana plants is that they get so tall. The first one I bought was planted in a greenhouse in the ground and it very quickly smashed into the somewhat high 12 foot ceiling. I really think that if you can't grow them outside, its not worth spending the money on one. Last week a Ae Ae pup went for over $200.

dablo93, So far out of the 11 pups the mother has produced, all have been variegated, but I have heard that sometimes one gets a green one and even an all white one the quickly dies because it can't make any "food" for itself.

I'm in south Orange County in CA and, as you can see from the photo, the Ae Ae is in a rather protected spot.

I wasn't really trying to hide my ebay ID. I just didn't know if this forum's administrators would consider it advertising if I gave out my ebay ID.

This forum is about sharing experiences and ideas, not selling stuff.

Well actually trading, selling and buying is part of the forum. I feel better buying from members of the forum and someday when I have more plants I look forward to doing more sharing and trading.

But I still love watching the progress of an Ebay sale. It reaches a much larger amount of people from all over. BTW, we have auction in our classifieds also. :o)

Cagary, It wasn't meant to be a nasty comment about you hiding your ebay name it was only said in fun. I appologize if I have upset you that was not my intention.

we have the auctions, trading, buying and selling of plants on here. im glad to know that there are members on here who sell on e-bay. gives your mind a little more at ease knowing this is a real person and not someone who is trying to "rob" someone. i hope you sell all your plants! and what you dont sell on e-bay, you could post them on here for auction, sell, trade, etc. im sure they would go quick!:0496:

Mark,

No offence taken from your comment. I just thought it would be bad form to display photos of the banana plants I'm selling elsewhere and then offer what amounts to be a direct link ( my ebay name) to where they are being sold.

This is why I don't spend much time on the Corvette forum. I have only met really nice and informative people.

Gary,

Yes, this forum is primarily for sharing experiences and ideas. But it also allows you to share your products by buying, or selling your own products, particularly if they are banana products, etc., or even other plants. You just can't contract with other companies for renumeration and link them here without permission from the Organization. The key is it has to be for yourself, or a company that you own or work for directly.

Anybody wanna buy a Boeing jet? We have several models to choose from. And we're coming up with a new generation model constructed mostly from state of the art carbon composite materials (except the electronics, engines and landing gear). (LOL!)
