I have got to say that it is strange that you haven’t got a bigger response to these being available. To me this variety is the Holy Grail of bananas. It is a shorter, stouter variety of Gros Michel. Gros Michel is a great banana, but who wants to try to harvest bananas that are 15 feet above the ground? To me Highgate is a winner. I look forward to picking up my two plants soon.

I got my two Highgate banana plants! They look great! They are huge plants for a 4" pot. Now I just have to wait for these TC plants to grow.
Thanks Larry.

I was wondering if these would be okay outside year round in a 9b climate? I’m in concord, CA. Also, is the taste similar to the regular size GM?

I don't think so, too cold, down to 25° right?
If so probably not.
I believe they do taste just like the regular GM.

Thanks for the response! Technically yes, but we rarely see anything drop lower than 32 and it’s even rare to get anything in the 30s. For the price I’m willing to try my hand.

Ordered one today to add to the collection. Have to kill off a morning glory infestation before I can plant it though.
