Backyard Banana Joe

Recently I dug up a dwarf banana plant and there were some nematode lumps on the roots. The banana plant was in some shade, but it had all the water it needed, and fertilizer. I had also put a nice layer of wood chips on, which were breaking down nicely. I've heard they hate organic matter in the soil. any suggestions? Any products, preferably organic, to treat them? Or advice? Thanks :ha:

Ask for pictures of the lumps if you don't know what I am talking about. :08::08::08::08::08::08::08::08::08::08::08::08::08:

its a location limited issue, so florida is prime RKN territory
I've seen it on a fig and veg but not bananas.
heavy mulch, compost, organic matter will suppress them.
I've also been experimenting with french marigolds around the RKN susceptible plants/trees. grow them and mulch them around plants (something in french marigold plants that they hate). i'll be keeping an eye on my bananas now also
(amazon french marigold seeds were like $6 for 500 lol)
