Hi everyone, The photos for this post are in my gallery since I don't know how to post them here

I am hoping someone can tell me what is wrong with this plant and what I can do about it.

This is my Golden Lotus Banana....Musella Lasiocarpa....it has been perfect until about 8 weeks ago

The leaves come out beautiful, smooth and the color is normal

After a few days they get "dusty" looking and start to look bad, then they get the brown dried patches on them

I only use slow release granule fertilizer in that bed, have not used it in a few weeks though...all other plants in that bed are thriving

The Nam Wah plant just 3 feet away is beautiful as ever, as are the others that are maybe 6-8 feet from this plant

Can anyone tell me what this is and what I should do?

I uploaded images to my gallery, the site says to do that. I hope they are visible.

Thank you all in advance : )

How much and what kind/type of fertilizer was applied? ... The above image seems to show high nitrogen with the twisting & curling leaves. This looks like too much fertilizer and likely resulting in root burn. More info would help.

Hello and thanks for the replies and for posting the pics here on the thread...I could not figure that out

Actually only the first 3 photos are my plant, the 4th one is not mine

I did scatter some slow release multi type fertilizer granules, but not often, once every 2 months as it says to do......maybe the fertilizer could still be present in the soil around the plant...but as I said nothing else in that bed is having any trouble....I will definitely stop applying it around that plant to see if that was the problem...

I appreciate very much the replies and help ...Thank you again

Do any of you think that neem oil is ok for banana plants?...I use it in my garden for other things

I think subsonicdrone got it, spider mites. Insidious, hard to control, one plant with them can ruin a whole plot. Use a magnifying glass to view the underside of the leaves. Rubbing alcohol kills them - see https://www.tipsbulletin.com/qa-what-is-the-best-natural-way-to-kill-spider-mites-on-plants/.
