I'll be living in San Diego for at least the next two years so while I'm here I'm hoping to finally try my hand at growing some bananas. I am curious if anyone can give me any advice on any local nurseries or individuals who have plants for sale near me (within ~50 miles of UCSD). Most of what I've seen on craigslist seems to be in the orange county area which is too far of a drive.
I am interested in essentially all plants though my preference is for plants that can grow well in containers and/or stay relatively small (less than 15 feet including leaves) since I'm renting. I currently have a 100 gallon fabric pot that I'm hoping to fill with something that's already at a decent size but I'm interested in young plants as well.
With that said, if anyone has any recommendations, they are much appreciated. Thank you.
