Forgive my ignorance but what are ribs? do you mean 3 groups of bananas?

3 sides may mean the same, the ribs separate the sides.

Ribs or zippers on the banana peeling. If the banana was cut into a ring slice, the ribs would be in a triangular position. ... Small fingers before filling out would be more triangular shape.

The top photo does appear to be Orinoco.
