Hi all. I am a newbie, hoping to meet and talk with like minded banana and exotics fans around the world. Here in Bristol, UK we have enjoyed, so far a great summer after a mild winter. I have M.basjoo, sikkimensis and this year I am raising from seed sikkimensis X paradisiaca. Currently have a 4 year old grove of basjoo. I will be developing a sikkimensis grove later. Love to hear form you folks around the globe. Carl

Keep us informed, especially with sikkimensis grove. along with conditions it will grow in/under. We are looking to do the same this year using plants from seed (but keeping a couple inside, just in case :-)

I will. I've found sikkimensis easy to grow from seed. Have protected my plants until this year. I'm. Going to try one or two outside to see if they cope. I'm in Bristol, UK. We don't have severe winters normally and cannas, mimosa, begonias, aspidistra do well here.

Good Luck! We are trying the same here in Chantilly, Va. USA, zone 7ish. Basjoo does well here, so hopeful! Keep us informed!
