Hi all
I seperated my lasiocarpa last year and lost the parent plant through the winter. The pup that is growing has colouring of an abyssinya. The parent plant was definitely lasiocarpa
Is this common or just any thoughts

What climate zone are you in (or what location)?
I find it unusual that it died, they are perfectly hardy down to zone 7 in the US. Maybe they have more trouble growing in northerly cooler climates.

If you mean it has a bit of red in it, that is normal under some conditions.

Thanks for your replys
Definitely cold that killed it we had a cold snap and it was planted in an exposed area. I like to grow plants hard as an insurance doesn't always work out though.
Yes leaves are redish at edges but not same size so presume is a pigmentation thing happening
Thanks again
