Four years in the ground and my Musella Lasiocarpa is finally flowering for the first time. This guy gets full AZ sun until about 3pm and is about 5 1/2 feet tall. :woohoonaner:

Keep posting the pictures. And I want a few of the fresh seeds.

I will keep adding pics. I don't mind sharing the seeds at all. After 4 years this is a large mat so I removed a bunch of pups a month ago that have all rooted in pots very well.

Please, post a few wide shots of the entire plant to put things into perspective.

Is it your experience that musella lasiocarpa attracts mites more than other banana plants? It is mine, and I have to spray every 2 weeks.

No issues with mites or any other pests (that's an 8ft wall behind it for reference)

Hard to tell what leaves are from which? what leaves are from the main flowering plant etc.? Lots of pups. Thanks!

As the flower pushes up it pushes the leaves out...so all of the horizontal leaves are from main stem...those that go vertical are from pups.
