Hello all! I am new to the forum. I live in zone 6b in southern Ontario, Canada, and we had a very cold snap this winter. My musa basjoo are over 4 years old, and the roots are quite large, but I still have no sign of life as of today. Anyone else in 6b have any growth yet? I am pretty worried it got too cold and they died. They are usually up a foot or two by now.

Thanks,
Moki

Don't give up yet, I did not think mind were going to make it. It's the first winter for mine, last week one had a tiny sprout showing. The other is not doing anything yet, with the cold April I hope they are just slow this year.

I don't want to sound like the barer of bad news but I bet your plant is toast. I live in Indianapolis(Speedway actually) and last spring(2018) we got a little unwanted snow. It killed my plant. I had it protected with mulch and it warmed up and I uncovered it. We went out of town for the weekend and the snowed it. My plant didn't respond. I hope your does. Welcome to the forums
