New to banana trees. I live n western ky. I transplanted a 3ft banana tree yesterday an today it's wilted. What can I do for this.? Love my trees.

Transplant shock! ... It should recover in a week or 2. But what you can do also is to mist the plant leaves a coup;e of times per day ... more if the air temperature is hot high 80's & 90's. And give a weak foliar fertilizer spray one a week. You might see immediate improvement of the plant with the misting. Bananas take in a large amount of water though their big leaves & transpire water to keep cool.



Banana plants have shallow roots so make sure you didn't set the plant deeper than the top of the corm (color change white to green on the stalk & top of corm). .... good luck and welcome to the Nana forum.

adding some shade cloth or tarp is helpful for a few days. But it will just take time to work itself out.
