Hello,
are Musa -Silk,-Silk Fig, -Apple, -Amorosa and -Pisang rastali, different cultivars of the Applebanana type, or are they all Synonyms for the same cultivar?
(It would make more sense, if their different cultivars, but I`m not quite sure)
Thank you very much.

Check this link!......https://www.growables.org/information/TropicalFruit/bananavarieties.htm#SilkSubgroup

I`m still a bit confused, and not really sure.
As far as I can understand (from the link) there are even different cultivars who have the same name for example - apple -. So there could technically be hundreds of different cultivars called apple. And for the other names like - Manzana -, - Amorosa -, - Cantong -, etc.., the same thing. There are just different names, because the people in different regions call this type of banana (I call it the appletype) differently.
So if you buy a plant called - Apple -, it`s not necessarily the exact same - Apple -, that for example your friend has.
(The same thing for the other names like Manzana, Cantong, Amorosa, etc..).
So two people can have a banana plant, which is called the same, but the different plants/fruits can be quite different from each other.
So unlike, let`s say a - Fuyu - persimmon. If two people have a - Fuyu - persimmon (even if they live on complete different continents), they will have the exact same plant.
Therefore if I taste a - Fuyu - persimmon in South America and like it, I can go for example to Germany and buy a - Fuyu - persimmon plant. The Fruit will taste the same, because it`s the same plant.
But if I taste a - Apple - banana in Kenya, and go back home and buy a - Apple - banana plant, the fruit can taste completely different from the one I had in Kenya.
So if I want two grow exactly the same banana I had in Kenya, I have to get a clone/sucker of the motherplant, from which I tasted the fruit.
Sorry for the long post, but it was necessary to explain how I understand it.
I hope that`s right, if not please let me know, thank you very much.
