Hi!
I have 9 seedlings, now about 2 feet tall (planted Feb 15, germinated in like 3 weeks on heat mats and they have taken off. I have transplanted into 1 gallon pots and will be doing it now again into 5 gallon pots. Two questions: How deep should they be planted (the roots are right at the surface as the seeds were planted like 1/2 inch deep).
Second: Is it better to plant in a 5 gallon and then replant in say a 15 gallon, or should they go into 15 gallon right away? I would prefer 5 gallon as easier to move about, but also want to get maximum growth.
These have been growing like 4 inches a week, so by end of summer, if they keep on going like this, will be pretty large. In fact looking at my bananas, I would guess they might even grow faster.
Many thanks!
Peter
NB: If any special tricks, would love to hear about them. I am treating them like bananas otherwise. YouTube has been somewhat helpful, but lacks the above.
