Can you list the source, or is it you? :ha:

I will. As soon as I get the corm and it grows a good leaf. Then I can verify if it is a true Ae Ae.:08:

Nothing ventured nothing gained!!! If I get another "Florida" I'll have a fit.

Hi Dan

The previous Ae Ae you had did it turn out to be a Florida, is it the same one in your Avatar.

Finally a reliable source, but won't share info because doesn't know if they are reliable. Ummmmmmm

Ok --- the first source --- turned out they offer the Florida variety. Which I consider not a true Ae Ae. The varigation lines do not radiate at 90 degrees from the leaf stem. I grew this one already and the fruit aren't as good as the true Ae Ae. So the search continues!!!:08:

Found another source. Money sent. Waiting patiently...….

About the Florida variety ---it's pretty, fruit tastes nice but I consider it not a true Ae Ae. The last time I got one it came from PR Giants.

These days he is so busy making money I can't get him to respond. Maybe this post might work. lol :drum:

The first leaf is emerging. Will know later if it's the same as the avatar. Fingers crossed.

Hi everyone I'm in the uk and I've just purchased a musa Aeae. It's growing very slow so I'm thinking it could be to cold. Anyone know what the best soil and air temperature I should be trying for please?

No, that's the ae. The Maoli Pacific cooking bananas have a blunt shaped tip and the Florida is pointy.

Dan definitely did not get his Florida from PR Giants.

Post a photo of your mat and bunch and we'll see if you got the REAL Florida.

Yeah the Florida taste great, they're an excellent dessert banana. The ae is a great cooking banana and we eat them just about every day. Roasted, boiled, fried or steam they are one of my favorites.

You should have let me know you were looking for them, I would've sent you some for free. :08:

Wow amazing :lurk:

Anyone that can explain Dan's radiation 90 degree Pythagorean theorem in sufficient detail can have the free Variegated Florida and AE that would've been sent to Dan.

Yo PRG ----- I didn't word it quite right. By "the last time I got one from" I meant AeAe. The Florida shows up in nurseries here in S Fla now and then. And yes it has nice fruit.

Yo Bad ----- when you wrote "the last time I got one from"

it sure seemed like you meant Florida.

That's why I replied with

"Dan definitely did not get his Florida from PR Giants."
