Welcome Nikki,

I see your employer currently offers (https://myperfectplants.com/?s=Banana&post_type=product) "Golden Lotus", "Bordelon", and "Basjoo" for $52.99 each.

Which edible banana cultivars do you personally grow at your home?

My personal favorite of the varieties we grow is the Musa Bordelona because the leaves are a beautiful color and change like a chameleon. It's awesome!

I do have banana trees (and many other fruit trees) at my house. The bananas are getting bigger and bigger, they used to be tiny small the size of my pinky.

Picture still uploading to my gallery. Maybe you can help me ID the variety.

Who the hell cares what she does at home, Richard?

Stop being an ass, although I know it is almost impossible for you to do. She's just trying to promote her company for God's sake. Not everyone on here is a living legend like you. And speaking as one myself, I intended that very condescendingly.

It's time that someone had a talk with you about your ego. We all know who you are. We also are sick and tired about hearing your bragging about it and putting people down just to make yourself feel better.

Many years ago, when I got my first book contract, someone told me to never forget who I was or where I came from. I always stood by that, signing books and talking as long as someone wanted to. Even when I became an actor, I still never forgot those words of wisdom. To this day, it is an honor for someone to engage me in conversation or ask for my autograph or to take a selfie.

I always respect those who know me, and so should you. Pull your head out of your ass and treat these "peons" as you would expect to be treated yourself. Stop talking down to people that you feel are beneath you. They came here for help; not to be criticized.

If you want to treat people that way, then leave this forum and go and write for the National Enquirer. If not, then sit down, shut up and act like an intelligent adult. Can you even do that? I don't think so. Your head is so far up your own ass, that you will never see in color again.

Who is 'Richard'? I don't know him. Have I missed something?

I know who 'Gabe' is, and he has never been an arse, nor talked down to me, even though his 'nanner' knowledge is well beyond mine.

(now, if you want to talk 'orchids', that is a totally different matter, and I may have a little knowledge here and there... :08: see Cattleya Hardyana var semi-alba avatar )

Richard is the resident “Snake Oil Salesman” and his main contributions to the banana world has been his “Magic 150 lb. Bananas”

There are about a dozen cultivars that will produce 150 lbs (gross) of fruit per inflorescence in a sub-tropical or near-tropical environment,

And his “Magic Stimulant”, add a few drops after the flower appears and get 500 lb. bunches.

I've been testing this product for the past year on various crops. For bananas, it is only applied after flag leaf or bud emergence. It is basically a hormone product for situations where regular nutrient feeding is intractable.
