Hey
What temperature can the trunk of a banana tree survive? I speak of fruit banana as rajapuri and Orinoco.
Thank you for returning your experience.
I am talking about the strength of the trunk and not the rice.
Thank you in advance and excuse my english.

0 Celsius and above for short periods of time.
As long as the trunk does not freeze.

For me, Orinoco(in containers) will tolerate longer exposure to lower prolong temperature.. 2 celsius and up.

A few forum members in zones 7-9 have overwintered Orinoco in ground with some protection.

Also there are a few forum members that grow plants near you whom you can connect with.

Last winter my tall namwas (protected) made it through overnight temperatures of 21F/-6C for up to about 12 hours and fruited this past fall. That was with protection (southern exposure, wrapped trunks, frost cloth, Christmas lights).

Location: Nice France
Zone: Zone 10

If you are truly in zone 10 and your freezes are limited to a few overnight hours maybe a dozen times per year then most cultivars will grow there.

Expect 18 months from pup to inflorescence, then 3 to 6 months to ripen depending on when the inflorescence occurs.

The issue is whether the temperatures below 7°C are sustained for hours, or just in passing before the morning sunrise.

I like the photos I've seen of the village and surrounding area.

It appears you could not grow fruiting bananas outdoors all year. Instead they'd need to be in large pots. Most months the pots would be outdoors all day. In the winter months the pots would need to be moved indoors each night for protection, then moved back outdoors in the morning. We call this "the banana shuffle".

Hi,
Yes it is a beautiful region, I will not be able to return my plants inside, but I would put wintering veil as well as a shade pergola which will protect the place where the pots are placed, moreover against my house exposed south, an important thing is on average thirteen degrees maximum temperature, in spite of frozen bursts the temperature rises in the day.
We will see what it gives, to tell you the truth I have not spent the winter labas, I fear especially my dwarf my brazilian.
My neighbor has a lemon tree that has not had any damage which is encouraging,
I also read that the maximum temperatures in summer if they are very high play a role.
