Hi all -

New here but not to bananas. Living in coastal SoCal we can grow almost anything. Haven’t had frost in our yard since god was a child, rarely below 50*F in winter.
Here to learn!

Lately I've been replacing several of my prized low chill pit fruits because there's no longer enough chill for them to produce fruit.

Welcome!

We have a couple nectarines (white & yellow), a peach, and a Santa Rosa plum that do okay. The apricot, however, hasn’t produced a thing in the six years since we planted it. We keep telling it that “this is your last chance...”.

Frost forms from sublimation and depending on other conditions can occur from the low 40's and colder. Freezing of course forms at about 32F and colder. :coldbanana:
