Hello to all,
I have made several attempts to upload photos is the last 12 hours and there is clearly some problem as they don't upload. I am following the usual procedure that had always worked before. Anyone else having problems? :nanadrink:

I used to get it to work but somehow can't anymore. I just started linking to my Facebook.

I uploaded one photo 10 hours ago (10:45 am PDT) with no problems. Sorry to hear it's not working for you.

I uploaded a photo today without any problem. My photos were always too large (larger than 2MB). I found that if I stepped back and took the picture at a distance, I could crop it down below 2MB. Uploads won't work for me that is over 2MB.

Hi Richard are you deleting photos in order to upload more?

I won't delete any as then the post they are linked to will not be able to display them.

No. Although I shrink my photos to just a few 100 kB before uploading.

Please give some details of the photos being uploaded; size of photo in Kb; space used in your photo gallery. ... This would be a start to figure out the problem.

That's my problem I uploaded large files so they could be enlarged to see detail. This was before we had limits. Now I'm over the limit and would need to delete or resize each one and possibly relink each picture. Some of my photos after we were limited were in Photobucket and you know how that went. So I guess I'm just out of luck with adding any pictures or attaching. Does anyone know of a reliable cheap photo storage site that's easy to link too

Facebook. Upload to facebook, right click over the image , open in new tab, and then use the address in the tab.

I use Google Photos, the built-in photo upload feature never did work great, and I think as the average camera has increased in resolution/quality over the years, the file sizes have increased and this old site just can't handle them.

Yep, I can upload again. The problem was on my end. I use an android tablet when I am in the field and the problem came from there.
Thanks to everyone for their input and yes, it was a size limit thing exept that I had in fact reduced the photos as I always do, but I was fetching them from the wrong directory, thus trying to upload the originals which were too heavy.

That's a good reason to rename the resized photo so to prevent the confusion with the original and/or the loss of the camera original photo. Mostly I just add a numerical date to the name (mmddyy) ... I also put the resized photo into a separate directory (when saving) which contains all my photos used on the forum.

I use Facebook but not in the sense that I post to my page. I'll try uploading pics there and linking to them. I'd really like Gabe to ID a banana I have good photos of.
