Hi, all! Just wanted to say thanks again to the bananas.org community for the great insights and information, and to hydnad and merce3 in particular for their real deal Blue Java and Dwarf Brazilian plants. Our backyard patch now has 7 plants spaced around the pool on 10' centers. Hoping for a mild winter this year so they can really put on some size.

Looks great!

I think 10' spacing is excellent for maximum growth. Narrower and the sun can't get to the plant's leaves on the sides due to crowding. I used either 5' or 6' originally and wish I had gone wider as I see slower growth on the nanners in the center section of my patch vs. the ones on sides which I believe is due to less sun exposure.

Awesome space.
The pool will have a tropical feel for sure.

Greetings from La Porte! I am growing an "Ice Cream" I picked up from Maas nursery, and a patch of musa zebrina from home depot. If mine doesn't turn out to be the real deal I would love to snag a pup if you can spare it next year.

Happy Growing!
