I'm not dead, I'm not in jail, and I haven't quit growing bananas and plantains. I am just on the road all the time now.

I got close to you in Donalsonville in May, but I was in and out for work in 8 hours. I was in Moultrie for a few days at the beginning of the year, but I had a bad reaction to some Medicine I was on and ended up with Chemical induced Lupus. I was in the hospital for a bit.

Gee ... I hope the lupus was corrected/cured, and not an on going problem now.

No, I have epilepsy and had recently switched medications, the medication I had switched to basically caused my body to attack itself. Once I quit, it didn't get any worse, but it took a few months to feel better. Strangest thing I've ever experienced, every joint and tendon in my body was in pain, and I was covered in mysterious bruises, all from a pharmaceutical.

Gee ... I hope the lupus was corrected/cured, and not an on going problem now.

How are the Plantains doing? Any fruit yet? Love to see pics of those.

I planted these in July and they are starting to thrive. Unfortunately, the grass is thriving as well.

Is that the same FHIA-18 group as the ones I got? I lost all of those this past winter. I have rescued a small pup growing from a rotten corm. It about 18" tall now and growing well.

Yes, it would be from the same group.

I finally hit reset on the part of my farm that was a total loss.

I also was able to knock down some of the jungle that had grown while I was gone.

Thought that was the one that flooded. ... Did any of the plant survive or come back?

My patch that stayed wet all summer (squishing water when you walk), the plants that were growing did green up and started growing when the ground dried up at the end of August & 1st of September. ... I did lost some plants/corms but these never sent up any shoots.

Some did, some did not. This is the only time I've ever lost plants from flooding. I had a pretty bad flood in 2013 or 2014 and the water was half-way up my truck wheels on one side of the farm for about 2 weeks. I think the flooding caused a lot of split fruit, but the corms didn't die. This was one month of flooding on plants that were maybe 1'-1.5' tall.
